BIOGRAPHY

Sigrid Thordsen is a danish mezzo soprano. She graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Music in 2020.

Sigrid has primarily been singing in Denmark, where she has performed on stages such as Glassalen Tivoli, Betty Nansen Teatret, Folketeatret, Bådteatret Nyhavn and Copenhagen Opera Festival. 

She has received lessons and participated in masterclasses with renowned artists such as: Anne Sofie von Otter, Bo Skovhus, Julian Prégerdian, Malcolm Martineau, and coaches Helmut Deutsch and Richard Hetherington; Head of Music at The Royal Opera London. Currently she is taking classes with opera singer Yana Kleyn and Prof Carolyn Grace James.
